Hunting Brook Gardens

Hunting Brook is a secluded botanical paradise, home to Jimi Blake and one of Ireland’s largest private plant collections and is a dynamic and innovative garden set in 20 acres. Surrounding his home are many examples of the fiercely colourful and theatrically beautiful large-scale plantings. Jimi’s love of plant combinations creates a garden that is balanced, stylish and which vividly displays his trademark tapestry of new and exciting planting.

This is a garden that is continually evolving as Jimi likes to completely change areas of the garden every year. He recently doubled the planting size of the garden by creating a new extensive sand garden and woodland beds in a contemporary style. The woody plant collection in the valley is maturing beautifully with new planting every year and the native meadow on the far side of the valley is the place to soak in the spectacular view of the Wicklow mountains.
