Notes from Bellefield

It looks as though we have a some good weather on the way, and the garden in RHSI Bellefield is really coming into Bloom.

It’s all systems go for our open weekend on the 19th and 20th July; we’ve been doing some last minute planting and lots of weeding lately, so the garden really is looking good.

Our French studnets Maya and Valentin have been helping us lots in the garden and improving their English and my French! We’ve completed the path at the blue border. Tackled the ground elder in the veg garden and have the cut flower garden in full production. We’ve also began cutting some bulb meadows and edited our checkerboard lawn.

Outside the garden we were delighted to be asked by Shinrone GAA to help Eoin Cleary design and plant a flower bed in their colours – Red and white. Maya and Valentin helped us along with some other local volunteers. It’s great to give back just a little to our local community, so thanks to all in Shinrone for asking us!
