Notes from Bellefield

The rain was welcomed here in RHSI Bellefield after nearly an 8 week spring drought. Thankfully it’s meant we’ve got lots of work done including most of the preparations for the new woodland garden extension!

The daffodils are just finishing and the Tulips taking centre stage. Especially those in our Tulip lawns. We haven’t planted many in the garden in recent years. Sticking mainly to pots.

In the garden we’ve been planting more now the rain is here and keeping on top of the weeds. Our Dahlias were only potted last week and will be planted out later in May.

Our new nursery area is also in getting into full production, ready to supply plants for both the garden and open days.
