The annual sale of Esker Farm daffodil bulbs has just gone up on their website! Esker Farm cultivate fabulous bulbs on their farm outside Omagh in Co Tyrone. You might have met Dave and Jules Hardy at plant fairs during the year or read about them in the Autumn 2022 issue of the RHSI Journal. They are continuing the long tradition of daffodil growing in Northern Ireland. Dave has a particular interest in miniature daffodils. Some of these bulbs are in the end-of-season sale together with many standard-sized varieties.
Half-kilo bags of daffodils cost €20 and contain 8-10 flowering size bulbs plus ‘chips’, bulblets which will grow into flowering size bulbs over a few seasons. They are also offering crocus, erythronium, anemone and fritillaria and a very select pick of tulip bulbs. All from Dave and Jules carefully managed farm, saving airmiles and cutting down on environmental waste.
