Hunting Brook Gardens are now taking bookings for their
Plantspersons Course for 2026

I was one of Jimi Blake’s students on the 2025 Course. Once a month from February to November we gathered in Hunting Brook sensibly shod and appropriately garbed to be taken around the garden by Jimi. Every level of gardening expertise was represented, from professional horticulturists to rank amateurs (me). We all learned so much. Jimi doesn’t so much teach propagation techniques and garden design precepts as demonstrate them on the hoof as the group moves around the garden. There’s no pressure and no competition, just a learning experience with friends.

Philip Hollowey, until recently chairman of the RHSI says in a testimonial on the Hunting Brook site that “the Plantsperson’s Course …… introduces you to the best in plant varieties and creative ideas on how to use them”. That’s it in a nutshell. Highly recommended.
