Dr Noeleen Smyth, Lecturer and Assistant Professor in the Department of Agriculture and Food Science in UCD, has travelled widely in her work which involves the preservion of endangered plant species. Her talk will focus on a fascinating project in the Pitcairn Islands where she saved and reintroduced into cultivation the endemic Abutilon pitcairnese (yellow Fatu).
